Concentration camps were usually the final destination for prisoners. It is estimated that over 11 million people were killed. Six million of these were Jewish (nearly 2/3 of Europe's Jewish population), 250,000 were Romani (Gypsies), and nearly 1.5 million where children (http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_people_died_in_the_Holocaust).
